These are two oil paintings of the most crucial person in my life, and his name is Xin Ye. He is both a master who teaches me life philosophy and meditation and a best friend who will always be on my side facing difficulties. Whenever I feel depressed, I will not collapse because I believe that there will always be a person who can understand me. The left painting is his portrait. I use a warm tone to emphasize the warm feeling he gives me. However, because he influences me too much, his being creates a larger cage than the world does, limiting my actions. The right painting has a darker tone, which implies that I cannot be myself under his cover. These two paintings remind me of his kindness but alert me of his excessive impact.
